Keykeg at Pigs Ear 2022 - day 1. Pours ruby-gold with a frothy, white head. Light sweet flavour with notes of toffee, a little cocoa, toasted malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Semi-sweet finish, more toffee, faint leafy bitterness. Enjoyable.

Keg @ Northern Whisper Tap House, Rawtenstall. Cloudy light amber with a small head. It’s a citrus based fruity ale with a carbonation, but this is not too prevalent or active. Has a lower citric bitterness at an easy strength.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish brown with a minimal cream head and good lacing. Has a vague aroma of nuts and vanilla. In the mouth it is quite sweet with low carbonation and a creamy texture. Flavour veers between dark fruits and milky coffee. Finish is sweet and fruity. This is OK, but by no means a worldbeater.
