Pours a hazy straw/yellow from a can. Rather big fruit aroma, primarily tropical fruits (think mango, papaya) with some sweet citrus (navel orange, perhaps tangerine). Similar flavor, a little bitter but well-balanced. Pretty good beer.

On tap at Five Horses Tavern. Pours bronze. Grapefruit, toffee, grain, some bitter pithiness, a little straw. Medium body. Not great.

Southie draught, 4/7/23. Pinkish-crsnberry. Small, pinkish head. Light haze. Well damn this just a watermelon jolly rancher. Guess they used either artificial flavor or watermelon concentrate? Lemon and minimal acidity. More just jolly rancher. Boy that's gross. Wtf. The rest of the beer is fine. Lemony lactic acidity and light hibiscus. A shame they used gross watermelon.

Southie draft, 4/7/23. Clear golden-brass. Small, white head to ring. Nose is floral-herbal. Minimal sweat. Light, dainty citrus, white bread malts. Clean, dry, no alcohol or resin. Soft, malty, white bread, stone fruit, citrus, not too sweaty or piney. Nice and malty, very dry. No resin or bready sourdough. Very nice take.

Southie draft, 4/7/23. Clear, amber. Off-white head to ring. Smells phenomenal, wow. Fresh dry hop adds bright floral notes with hints of soft melon and a touch of wintergreen. Fresh citrus, light herbs. Low malt, very low. Clean, snappy. Oh wow that's hella dry. No residual sugar at all. Lovely citrus and floral notes. Hint of biscuit and grain. Super dry finish. Could use a bit more sugar. Never thought I'd say that.

Southie draught, 4/7/23. Dark mahogany, he not of chestnut. Small, tan head, low retention. Great whiskey character with rich malts to cut any potential sharpness. Light coffee roast with excellent whiskey character. No booze noted up front. Big rye whiskey with coffee and caramel malts. Vanilla, low fruitiness and low roasted barley with lots of coffee and whiskey. A hint of pleasing syrupy caramel whiskey character before drying out heavily on the finish and exposing dry but not harsh/hot alcohol and oak tannin. Just a bit too dry on the end for me. I like some more syrupiness and residual sugar to balance the dryness from oak/whiskey/alcohol. But a solid effort. Clean, not hot.

Nitro draught, Southie location, 4/7/23. Unclear, deep garnet tinted chocolate. Small, well-retained, tan head. Raspberry is up front and heavy. Outdoing everything else though some vanilla breaks through enjoyably so. Too much raspberry, though vanilla and cacao are done excellently. Nitro texture/carbonation does a disservice, concentrating the heavy raspberry. Some light ash and roast. Not too sweet but too much raspberry. Would be incredible without it.

Can thanks to Jack! Pours a clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has sweet grains and straw with a bit of hay and grass supporting. Flavor has lots of straw and some biscuit with a hint of hay underlying.
