Sixer. Normal gold pour and a frothy head. Nose is corn and hops. Tastes of grains, grass, water crackers and corny. Sight malty finish and some hop bitters. For style it’s enjoyable

Can (1/31/20) pour from Julio's Liquors. Aroma is cloudy yellow (pulpy mist and white floaties) with no sparkle, finger-width white foamy head with poor retention and mild leggy lacing. Aroma is astringent citrus, mild tangerine, herb (more noticeable as it warms) and melon. Taste is mix of sweet and tart citrus, herbal overtones, background malts. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation, mild alcohol warmth and crisp finish with dry lingering bitterness. Overall, mouthfeel is really good, aroma and taste are decent.

Taster pour on tap at the brewery. Appearance is hazy, moderately dark brown with no sparkle, small off-white head with trace lacing. Aroma is caramel, nuts, bread. Taste follows aroma. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, yummy.

Taster pour on tap at the brewery. Appearance is totally opaque black with no sparkle, ring of off-white head and minimal soapy lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, a bit of toffee. Taste follows aroma. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick, frothy texture, average carbonation and sweet finish. Overall, it doesn't deliver everything in the description but is still quite good.

Taster pour on tap at the brewery. Appearance is lightly hazy, yellow-light brown with trace sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with nice lacing. Aroma is dominant danky herb with pine. Taste follows aroma. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, with 11 hops you might think you'd get more complexity than herbal and piney, but it's still well made and enjoyable.

Taster pour on tap at the brewery. Appearance is opaque black with classic initial cascading carbonation with no sparkle after that, 1/2-finger creamy light brown/beige head with good retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is some barrel, more wine-like than boozy, grape and other dark fruit, mild oak. Taste is more boozy than just wine with a little bit of cream, light chocolate and roasted malt. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, seemingly high barrel in the mix (though Food Fight doesn't list barreling in its description, perhaps nitro version is?). Looks good and feels good but aroma and taste don't deliver the chocolate and toasted coconut of a snack cake.

Taster pour at the brewery. Appearance is lightly hazy--mostly clear--yellow with no sparkle, 1/2-finger width white head with poor retention and nice leggy lacing. Aroma is moderately strong fruit, mild herb. Taste is fruitiness but getting herbal quality, too. More of the herbal than the apricot. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft-to-lively carbonation and finish is more fruity than herbal. Overall, I get more herb (perhaps what they were referring to by floral funk?) than fruit, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Taster pour at the brewery. Appearance is lightly hazy light brown with 2-finger width off-white head with good retention, no sparkle. Aroma is nice malty, more bready/toast than biscuit. Taste is rich bread, caramel, cracker. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied, smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, quite good for a steam-beer process. Doesn't go into tartland but is not as bold as typical black lager/IPA. 3.6-3.7

Taster pour at the brewery. Appearance is clear dark brown with no sparkle, thin ring of off-white head. Aroma is strong roasted malt, mildly smoky, caramel, perhaps sweet potato but that's maybe because I know to look for it. Taste follows the aroma. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, smoky roasted, wouldn't know sweet potato there, really. Knowing it's there you can find it 3.8

Taster pour on tap at the brewery. Appearance is light brown-dark yellow, 1/2-finger width foamy off-white head persisting as a ring, no sparkle, nice sudsy lacing. Aroma is subtle--virtually not there--vague fruit and malt. Taste is high alcohol, with caramel malt high in the mix, along with sweet fruit, somewhat candied. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, fairly thick texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not that strong, which is a little disappointing given the hop.
