(Draft at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 20 Feb 2025) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted, smoky nose with chocolate, coffee and peat smoke. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, black rye bread, peat smoke, liquorice and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. A mild pepper touch coming through. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Rich and tasty. Very nice.

0.33 l can from 'Mr. Hop', 5.2% abv, canned in September 2024. Very hazy, straw yellow with a large, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity-floral aroma of pineapple, passion fruit and some gooseberry. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, rather fruity-floral taste of passion fruit, gooseberry and some pineapple, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant beer.

0.33 l can from 'Mr. Hop', best before September 2027. Black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted hazelnut and light licorice. Quite sweet, malty, fairly roasty-bitter taste of dark chocolate, coffee, burnt bread crust, ash, roasted hazelnut and licorice, followed by a medium long, fairly roasty-bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very good Stout, especially considering the low abv. Great mouthfeel, intense but still well-balanced.
