Can from Waitrose. Clear dark gold/amber colour with thinnish white head. Nice inviting aroma with caramel, cereal, pear, grass. Taste hits the spot for the style; caramel, bread, light fruitiness, crisp, grassy and herbal in the finish. Near medium bodied, light chewy, moderate to frothy carbonation. Well executed.

Bottle from Waitrose, Saxmundham. Golden with a small head and a light carbonation. Fairly bitter in design with a fairly ordinary aroma in this respect, it's hoppy with some breadiness in its taste.

[50cl bottle from the Chessington garden centre.] A chestnut pour with a loose cream coloured head; malty aroma; earthy malt taste with some Demerara sugar; and an earthy finish. A pleasant red ale.
