Cask. Coppery brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is bready malts, mild nutty notes, caramel as well as some wood and mild floral notes. Flavour is sweet malts, caramel, mild fruits and some nice nutty and grassy notes in the finish. Drinkable bitter.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2013, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Barum EPA ].Clear medium yellow orange color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, straw, pale malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, earthy hops, grain, keller, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130814]

Sampled at GBBF 2013, London - Day 2. Pours clear yellow with a faint, white film head. Dry pale dough in the nose, some hay, light astringent lemon rind. Light sweet flavor with hints of dried grains. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Somewhat dry to finish, fairly clean, some bitter hay, light sweet pale malts. Basic but decent.

Cask at Stortford Beer Festival 2011. A hazy red beer with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of matl, caramel, and fruit, leading to a bitter finish.
