On tap at Central Waters - Milwaukee, pours a deep dark mahogany brown with a small beige head. Aroma has a lot of wood, dark dried fruits, oaky bourbon, and a touch of toffee. Flavour is intense, with humongous wood damn thats intense woodiness. Did I say this is woody? Theres toffee, burnt sugars, plenty of alcohol, maybe a bit of perfume. Its boozy and woody on the finish, with quite low sweetness for the style. Actually not that refined but it does have plenty to enjoy.

On tap at Central Waters - Milwaukee, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma has tons of oak, gentle honey, toffee, and vanillin. Flavour is remarkably smooth for a 16.5% beer, with huge oaky wood, some gentle honey-like sweetness, booze, dark dried fruits, and brown sugar. Complex, massive barrel, dark sugars, and toffee, leaving fairly low residual sweetness for the style. Excellent.

On tap at Central Waters - Milwaukee, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is rich, with huge oaky wood, big roasted malt, and some bourbon. Flavour is rich and bold, with deep wood, some oakiness more than pronounced bourbon, and deep roasted malt. A bit not but nicely refined regardless. Quite dry for a BA impie, which Im very happy about. Excellent.

On tap at Central Waters - Milwaukee, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has lots of wood, dark sugars, and not much marshmallow or fudge. Flavour is more cake-like, with lots of marshmallow, chocolate fudge, oak, and dark sugars. Not particularly well-adjuncted, but it almost seems like its a base beer issue. Alright.

On tap at Central Waters - Milwaukee, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma has plenty of wood, bourbon barrels, brown sugar, and caramel. Flavour is sweet, with syrupy caramel, wood, booze, and dark fruit. A bit messy and lacking cohesion, but theres plenty going on. Solid enough.

On tap at Central Waters - Milwaukee, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is very rich, with lots of woody barrels, dark sugars, vanilla wafers, and moderate roast. Flavour is rich, with lots of oak, wood, dark sugar, and coffee. A bit chaotic and lacking refinement but the barrel depth is really nice. Solid.

On tap at Central Waters - Milwaukee, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma has lots of rum barrels, vanilla, and sugars. Flavour is way too artificial, with rum barrels, vanilla, and sugars. Im not quite sure exactly what type of cake theyre going for here. Stick with the old school impies they cant compete with the new-school breweries that specialize in pastry stouts.

On tap at Central Waters - Milwaukee, pours a red-tinged deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of dry, earthy coffee and toasted bready malt. Flavour is dry, with earthy coffee, light sugars, and toasted malt. Light-bodied, not that deep a coffee character. Decent.
