Pale brown, no head. Big bourbon aroma, applewood, rich wheatwine, with light fruit and big toffee. Oh that’s excellent, rich toffee, slight fruit, really rich bourbon, vanilla. The apple helps soften this, brown sugars. Good body. Fantastic.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some bourbon/vanilla and some cinnamon notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some bourbon/vanilla and cinnamon notes and faint residual sugar notes. Body is full with an oily texture and good carbonation with no discernible alcohol notes. Very well balanced barrel-aged stout with a mix of bourbon notes and cinnamon/pastry notes.

Bottle shared at tasting. Opaque black color, virtually no head. Aroma and flavor are malts, soft roasty, soft soy sauce, a bit boozy but as expected, barrel influence, sweetish a bit and nicely bitter, subtle cherry notes. Awesome beer. Awesome. How do they do it. Absolutely delicious.
