(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Stockholm) Reddish anber colour with foamy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with dried fruit, apricots, orange peel and black-currant. Malty taste with notes of dark fruit, dried apricots, raisins, prunes, nuts, wild berries and a balanced, spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium to full body, fairly sweet. Complex beer with lots of flavours mingling together in harmony. Very nice one.

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Very black with firm creamy head. Tarry aluminium aroma. Medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Dense and highly roasted malt gives flavour of tar and smoke as well as dusty asphalt. Long dusty bitterness.

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Cloudy yellow, airy head. Citric nose. Medium dry with light body and rounded mouthfeel. Streamlined but quenching, and with a pleasant citric twist. No bitterness. A good beer in a pointless style.

Dark brown with a tan head. Roasted malts, coffee, cocoa, lightly sour, mocha, and light oats in the aroma. Extremely smooth body. The oats come on a little stronger in the flavor, though not htat much. Toasty, malty, coffee, chocolate, as well. I wish the oatmeal was a little stronger, but very tasty anyhow.

bottle - Pours clear gold with a light, slightly fruity malt aroma. The flavor is of light biscuity malt, a touch of fruit, and some mild hops. It’s light bodied, smooth and refreshing. There’s not a lot here to get excited about, but it it was it is, a nice, decent summer brew.

Bottle marked October 11, 2007; 13%. Fantastic oak aged beer! Thick pour that leaves a minimally sized light brown head that turns in to a ring quite quickly, but leaves a nice thin line of lacing. Pitch black body. Aroma of burbon, oak, chocolate, caramel, and some roasted nuts. Wow, that tastes good!, Rich and chocolatey, with vanilla and boozy, burbon goodness! Syrupy-creamy mouthfeel that is nearly flat carbonation wise. Leaves a bit of a dry, cedar-oaky aftertaste/mouthfeel. Really Really nice!
