Description
UnBarred was established in 2014 from the shed of our founder and Head Brewer Jordan Mower. Born of a passion to brew uncompromising and exciting beer, our original flagship IPA won the Bev Robbins Award for the Best Sussex Beer in its first year of production. We soon outgrew the shed and moved onto gypsy brewing, enabling us to grow production and hone our craft, working together with other fabulous breweries.
Since establishing our taproom and brewery in the heart of Brighton in August 2019, we have doubled our production and embraced the Brighton community that we call home. Our core range is stocked nationwide, alongside ltd editions that embody the creativity, passion and freedom that have always defined our core ethos. We love to collaborate with other breweries that share those same values.
We’re inclusive, passionate and adventurous in everything we do, from our beer conception through to our design, brewing and welcoming taproom experience. To celebrate our roots, we love to work with local artists, independent businesses and fellow-creatives to showcase the best of the vibrant culture and boundless innovation of this beautiful city.

Astringent, Slightly tart nose with modest fruitiness. Modest hoppiness, but really goes nowhere.

Very cloudy light golden color. Lot of grapefruit and a bit of plastic. Mouth is very dry and falls down quickly. Certainly has potential but a bit simple

Can. Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry and with decent minerally carbonation. Smooth light and sweetish malts, Decent piney hops. Nibbly hop spice, never get ferocious. Tangy citrus. Even a trace of strawberry here! Light finish. Pretty drinkable.

Can. Very hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Fluffy malts bring a mild creamy sweetness. Mellow piney hop mid, mild hop spice. Mango and orange come to the fore and the hop spice ramps up. Tangerine and a touch of pink grapefruit on the finish. Decent and pretty drinkable.

Bodney Towers Bottleshare. Thanks to Paul for the can,. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth light palate, mildly dry and with reasonable carbonation. Very thin malts bring a modest sweetness. Smooth floralness. Little candy fruits. Good pine with a bit of a minty edge. A light touch of sweet tropical fruits. Smooth finish. Nice enough but a tad thin and sweet.

0.44l can. Dark brown body with a dark beige head. Strong hop notes in the aroma (blackberries, tangerine) with chocolate and cocoa. Taste of berries, tangerine, grapeseed, cloves, toast and chocolate. Pretty much like a good black IPA. Nice beer.

Can from LPA. It pours clear gold with a medium, foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, zingy lemon, zesty, lemonade, cream soda, sherbet, bubblegum and muffin. The taste is crisp, pretty clean, zingy, zesty, lemon parfait, lemonade, creamy, toasty oat, cereal, touch of green veg and slightly metallic with a sweet finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. I like the idea of this, but the sorachi addition doesn't work for me. Brings a green veg vibe to it. So-so.
