Description
UnBarred was established in 2014 from the shed of our founder and Head Brewer Jordan Mower. Born of a passion to brew uncompromising and exciting beer, our original flagship IPA won the Bev Robbins Award for the Best Sussex Beer in its first year of production. We soon outgrew the shed and moved onto gypsy brewing, enabling us to grow production and hone our craft, working together with other fabulous breweries.
Since establishing our taproom and brewery in the heart of Brighton in August 2019, we have doubled our production and embraced the Brighton community that we call home. Our core range is stocked nationwide, alongside ltd editions that embody the creativity, passion and freedom that have always defined our core ethos. We love to collaborate with other breweries that share those same values.
We’re inclusive, passionate and adventurous in everything we do, from our beer conception through to our design, brewing and welcoming taproom experience. To celebrate our roots, we love to work with local artists, independent businesses and fellow-creatives to showcase the best of the vibrant culture and boundless innovation of this beautiful city.

very turbid orange. The nose is mango purée and gummy bears. Smooth mouth feel. Very dry mouth feel, flavors die quickly but mango shows up a bit. Ok

Can. Pours quite foamy, hazy whitish orange. You can actually even see some mango there. Nose has mango puree, sweet and stuffy. Really lots of fruit there. Taste has also hop bite, quite lot of lupulin dust, fruits there, mango, but not that sweet. Medium body, solid bitterness really loving this. Dry finish.

Can. Hazy orange with some light foam on top. Nice citrusy nose, tropics all the way, mango and papaya and ripe yellow plums. Taste is light bitter, fruity and well balanced with lupulus dust. Great balance, crisp and hoppy, works just superbly, could just keep drinking this.

Can at home. BBF 22/06/18. Bought yesterday at Mad About Malt, Rotterdam. Murky brownish amber with white head. Sweet malts and tropical smoothie, pineapple, mango, milkshake, weedy hops. Big sweet and moderate bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Probably better fresher! --- Beer merged from original tick of Tropic Soda on 03 Jan 2018 at 12:41 - Score: 7

Can from Westhill Service Station. It pours jet black with a light tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, chocolate cake, vanilla, liquorice, toasty and sweet roast. The taste is rich, bitter - sweet, roasted malt, chocolate cake, vanilla, rocky road, toasty marshmallow, cherry, touch of spice, earth with a soft, sweet finish. Medium + body and average carbonation. Pretty well rounded, but on the sweeter side. Decent.

Can at Toms. It pours cloudy dirty gold with a medium white. The aroma is fresh, juicy, creamy, apricot, grassy, green, pine dust, bready and doughy. The taste is dry, bitter, green, grassy, pine dust, floury white bread, bit of spice, grapefruit and orange peel with a drying finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Fresh and quaffable. Nice stuff.

Can. Columbus, Chinook, Citra and Centennial hops. Clear deep red - amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable carbonation. Smooth malts, not sweet, plenty of tangy spicy rye. Touch of marmalade and then a strong floral bitterness. Light dry finish leaves a spicy bitter linger. Not much from C hops here and it's quite harsh overall.

Tasting @ Tim's. Hazy pour, yellow, some white foam there. Nose has some orange juice, hop dust, citrus. Nice. Taste has some more bitterness, not too much though, medium body. Smooth, good herbal bitterness. Tasty but not amazing.
