Half pint, cask at Richard Hopkins (JDW). Nitro white head, clingy lacing, near-golden body. Ripe lemony hops on the nose. Mixed taste of grass, grain and lemony hops. Fair bitter endnotes. Quite alright. (Newton Abbot 28.04.2017).

Bottle shared at the Chris & Ruth pre GBBF shindig tasting 2016 - London. Cheers! Pours clear amber with a creamy topping. Grainy bread in the nose, light leafy hops. Medium sweet flavour with notes of lightly toasted toffee, earth, dried fruits. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with lightly bitter husky grains, earth. Alright beverage.

Bottle shared at the Chris & Ruth pre GBBF shindig tasting 2016 - London. Cheers! Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. The nose has light zesty citrus, lemon, dried pale bread. Lightly sweet, a little zezty, with nips of hay and lemon rind giving a touch of bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Moderately dry in the finish, with pale grains, biscuits, more zesty lemon. Nice one.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Fest (with Rune, Rasmus, Saxo and Camons) @ KEGS. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, a few white bubbles. Smooth pale malts, trace of honey. Nice light marmalade hops, mild lemon. Light semi dry finish. Nicely integrated and drinkable.

Sweet and smooth dark malts. Lots of chocolate drinking powder. Light semi dry finish. Quite strong on the artificial chocolate.

Cask at the 2017 Chelmsford & Mid Essex Winter Beer Festival. Pours almost black with a small beige head. Aroma of light roasted chocolate malt and biscuit. Moderate sweetness with medium to heavy bitterness. Medium body and slightly sticky texture. Carbonation is soft. Sweet roasted finish. Liked this.
