Pours gold into a shaker. Off-white head with good retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Sourdough, rotting vegetables and mild resin aromas. Thin with nasty sour, spoiled cabbage and stale burnt sourdough front to back.

Can from Bert’s Lightly hazy deep golden color with a modest off white head. Resin, mineral water, sweet bread, pine, and citrus for the aroma. Lightly sweet bready maltiness with a sharp sometimes harsh earthy resinous hop flavor. Moderate mineral flavors and hints of citrus. Light to medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. I’m still not digging this new style, I can drink them but man do I want more body in these.

Large sample from the can at the Granite State Brewfest yesterday. Lightly hazy golden color strong blueberry aroma, drinkable.

Pours a hazy light golden color with a decent sized white head that slowly dissipates to a cap on top. Light bready malt base with faint blueberry and light earthy hops. The flavor is like a light lager with a faint blueberry twang to it. Light bready pilsner malt with a hint of spice and some blueberry syrup buried deep underneath. Light to medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet watery mouthfeel. Bland, unexciting but technically nothing flawed here. The blueberry is too faint and the beer too uninspiring. Why on earth this 22oz bottle of 4.5% abv beer retails for north of 9 dollars boggles my mind.

16 oz. can purchased at On The Vine. Labeled as Hells yes! Clear piss yellow with lively carbonation. Aroma is sweet grain and toast.

The flavor is clean cereal grain, corn and lager yeast in the finish. The body is light which is normal for the style. Dry texture with a hint of fruit. Zero bitterness. Easy to drink warm weather brew. Very simplistic in nature.

16 oz can from Londonderry Pours a crystal clear light golden color with a smallish white head that despite vigorous coaxing doesn’t last very long. Aromas of light sweet bready malt with hints of fruit and melanoidin. The flavor is crisp sweet bready maltiness with hints of spice and fruit. Light caramelized sugars round this one out. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Not a bad Americanized version, I could drink these.

On tap at the source 8/25/2012. Comes to the table a medium golden color with a smallish white head by the time the waitress sets the glass down. Smells of rich bready sweet honey like malts mostly. A hint of floral hop is there to provide a hint of balance. The flavor is quite malty and sweet with a solid shot of bready almost caramel like pilsner malt that gets slightly balanced with some floral hops. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet malty mouthfeel. Nice helles not the best I’ve ever had but definitely quaffable.

16 oz. can shared by Phatdog1. Clear gold appearance with lasting head in a pint glass. Nose is sweet bread malts and faint blueberry.

Flavor is what you can expect from a fruit beer, weak. Don’t get me wrong, no flaws or major negatives. It is a light bodied, lightly carbonated, blueberry infused ale. The blueberry has a natural flavor so that is a big plus. Easy to drink and the women folk will love this! It’s out for summer for a reason, at 4.5% you can drink a ton of it if you desire. Respectable.

On tap at The New England Taphouse Grille. Comes to the table a slightly hazy deep reddish brown with a decent sized ff white head that dissipates rather quickly. Aromas of caramel and light brown sugar with bits of earthy citrus hop. The flavor is lightly sweet dark sugary malt with plenty of earth and citrus to counter.Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Standard red ale, serviceable but not horribly exciting.
