Description
The name of our brand, Guineu, means fox in Catalan. This small mammal, common in our lands, has to be cunning to survive.
At Cervesa Guineu we understand beer as a product made with passion, which needs to be looked after from beginning to end. Our main premise is having absolute respect for our ingredients and natural brewing process. Craft beer means to explore, to surprise the palate with new and different nuances.
Located in an early 20th century building, in the textile colony of Valls de Torroella in the Barcelona province. Our brewery stands by the Cardener river. At present, our premises have a total area of 750m2, where the whole process of creation of our beers takes place. It all begins with an initial idea, followed by the design and creation of each recipe, until we actually brew it and finally package it. All this to offer you the finest possible product.

Can, looks like mango juice. Hop oil and ripe fruit in the aroma, white pepper. Sweet flavor, alcoholic, with loads of tropical and citrus fruit, hop oil and white pepper. Sightly herbal. Low on carbon. Surprisingly drinkable, still too much of everything to make this a really good DIPA.

2018 bottle. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is roast, chocolate, liquorice, not much vanilla in the smell. Taste is vanilla, chocolate, cereals, black breadcrust. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Roasty aftertaste. A bit too sweet and unbalanced.

Should be Italian Grape Ale. Clear paleish gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light and fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Light white wine vibe, a little floralness. Modest citrus. Tidy but they have done many better in this style.

20th July 2019 Should be an Italian Grape Ale style option. Light hazy gold beer, thin and short lived and thin pale cream colour head. Light palate, semi dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness. Nice light red wine tang. Little citrus. Light finish. Simple stuff but nicely winey.
