Description
The name of our brand, Guineu, means fox in Catalan. This small mammal, common in our lands, has to be cunning to survive.

At Cervesa Guineu we understand beer as a product made with passion, which needs to be looked after from beginning to end. Our main premise is having absolute respect for our ingredients and natural brewing process. Craft beer means to explore, to surprise the palate with new and different nuances.

Located in an early 20th century building, in the textile colony of Valls de Torroella in the Barcelona province. Our brewery stands by the Cardener river. At present, our premises have a total area of 750m2, where the whole process of creation of our beers takes place. It all begins with an initial idea, followed by the design and creation of each recipe, until we actually brew it and finally package it. All this to offer you the finest possible product.

330ml bottle from trade, thanks cesarpball. Pours black with a thin beige head. Aroma of whisky, dried fruits, raisin. Taste is rich, sweet, whisky, dried fruits, raisin, dark chocolate, hints of coffee, spices, boozy finish. Medium body, smooth. It's not godly but it is very good.

Thin beige head left a spotty cover on an unclear dark orange coloured still body. Faint fruit aroma. Medium bodied, tingly on the fore with a soft lifeless back. Muted tastes of orange, chalk, sweet citrus, damp cardboard & some tangy hops on the finish.

33 cl bottle at C.A.T.M., Madrid. It pours jet black, shiny and clear, with a thick fawn head. Aroma is chickory, coffee, leather, walnut shell, shale, black chocolate. Boozy, less oily than expected, very bitter (maybe somewhat over the top, 'cause it's not so crisp.) Lingers long after sipping, with more reminiscences of black chocolate.

Bottle from Honest Brew. Hazy golden body with a massive off-white head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of crushed paracetamol and mint. Flavour of orange pith and a chalky finish. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Simple and chalky. Good for the price.

Bottle shared with daniele. Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma beige leggera. Al naso leggera nota vinosa, di caffé, cioccolatino al cherry, lieve solvente. In bocca è appena dolce, con leggera acidità vinosa, di frutta rossa, e una chiusura leggermente astringente. Corpo pieno, carbonazione leggera. Andrebbe rifinita un po', comunque interessante.
