Description
The name of our brand, Guineu, means fox in Catalan. This small mammal, common in our lands, has to be cunning to survive.
At Cervesa Guineu we understand beer as a product made with passion, which needs to be looked after from beginning to end. Our main premise is having absolute respect for our ingredients and natural brewing process. Craft beer means to explore, to surprise the palate with new and different nuances.
Located in an early 20th century building, in the textile colony of Valls de Torroella in the Barcelona province. Our brewery stands by the Cardener river. At present, our premises have a total area of 750m2, where the whole process of creation of our beers takes place. It all begins with an initial idea, followed by the design and creation of each recipe, until we actually brew it and finally package it. All this to offer you the finest possible product.

Can split at CBC Covent Garden, thanks to Kenny, 20/11/18. hazed golden orange with a moderate off white head. Nose is sweet malts, tangy citric peel, apricot jam, citric tinged straw. Taste carries a boozey undertone, mango, apricot, grapefruit, light spice, hop burp. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with tangy hop bitterness. Average for the style.

Can 33 cl. Holy Jesus! 365 IBU and 12% ABV. Pours a hazy, dark golden with a small, white head. Very resinous aroma, herbal - bordering chemical - as so often in these high IBU beers. Rich, sweet, sugary body, a little lowish in carbonation. Barley Wineish almost. Funnily it doesn't come out all that bitter. A fun, gimmicky beer. 031218

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear golden with a dense and lacing white head. Nose is greasy, sweaty - unclean and absolutely not pleasant. Medium body, flavor somewhat more pleasant, fruity with some subdued bittering hops. It really appears old and tired. BB 01/19. 031218

Can 33 cl. Pours a clear almost orangey golden with a lacing, off-white head. Citrusy hop aroma, but also clearly some more citrusy notes from the added Yuzu - very nice. Medium body, a rather dry fruitiness. Again Yuzu, but in the flavor it doesn't come out quite as nice. Gets a little chemical and astringent. bitter finish. 031218
