Description
We opened our doors in Brixton in mid 2013 with the aim of teaching Londoners how to make beer. We have expanded operations at this site to offer up to 30 draught lines featuring our commercially available beers, exclusive nano brews and guest beers plus a large stock of cans and bottles to take home. We remain one of the very few venues in London to stock home brewers with hops, malt and yeast.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from the breweryโs online shop. Pours clear, deep gold, lightly effervescent, with a frothy white head. Medium sweet with ample paw malt support, juicy citrus fruits, ripening tangerine and orange, mellow rindy bitterness, slight oily pine. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more plump citrus fruits, mild bready pale mats, a little white grape and peach. A nice and rich but still highly drinkable DIPA.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from the London Beer Lab online shop. Pours totally clear honey-gold with a modest, creamy white head. Light to medium sweet with nice subdued tropical fruits, ripening tangerine, orange, soft rindy bitterness, background pale malts. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Balanced finish, some further bright tropical and citrus fruits, mellow oily pine, hints of white grape, low bitterness. Great stuff overall. Really drinkable.

Cask at Flowerpot, Derby Pours chrome yellow with a small white head. Nose has floral hops and some hints of nuts. Tropical fruits dominate in the mouth, passion fruit, melon and orange peel. Generally a juicy texture, but some traces of biscuit as well. Finish is dry and fruity. Passable, but not my kind of beer.
