Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. KEGS. Cask. Bright clear amber beer, untidy bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. A bitterish dark toffee thing leads to dried fruits and floral bitterness. Light semi dry finish. A decent bitter, hangs together well.

Light malts support good Belgian character sweet dried fruits, banana and modest spice. Sweet floral orange. Light semi dry finish brings a little more spice. Good fun and pretty drinkable.

Manchester Beer Festival 2015. Very dark with a small head. Has sweet dark malts and not too much roasted malt given its colour. Has a slightly soapy nose.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Copper coloured ale with a small frothy head. Has a fair sweetness in its fuller body, no real bitterness to it. Feels a bit like a winter warmer.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Blonde with a small frothy head. Dry hopped with a very sessionable texture. There’s some fruit evident but it’s more crisp than anything else.
