Cask at Pigs Ear ’15, 01/12/15. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent tan covering. Nose is cocoa powder, light spice, earthy notes, tar, fruit cake. Taste comprises tar, leather, spice, trace of liqourice, cocoa powder. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent stout ... well balanced.

Cask gravity at the rake. Light hazed amber / orange coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma is lovely juicy southern hemisphere hop, tropical fruit salad, biscuit, mango and orange rind. Flavour is composed of semi sweet light caramel and biscuit malts, citrus rind, little grass, mango. Palate is semi sweet, decent cask condition. Firm slightly tough hop bitterness. Solid.

Cask gravity at the rake. Mid hazed golden / orange coloured pour with a lasting white head. Aroma is suddued, saison yeast, lemon citrus, wheat. Flavour is good pronounced sorachi ace character, coconut and kafir lime, semi sweet bready and wheat grains, fairly clean saison yeast ferment. Palate is semi sweet with a semi drying finish, moderate carbonation. Good sorachi character.

Cask at the brewpub. Pours perfectly clear gold with s thick, creamy white head. The nose has simple, straight saison yeast, some doughy wheat, grain, citrus rind, esters. Medium sweet flavor with notes of apple, white grape, yeast, dry dough, lemon peel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Finishes fairly sweet with more dry but doughy wheat, saison yeast, se hitter grass, grain husk, hay, more rind, zesty lemon. Not bad.

Cask at the brewpub. Pours clear russet with a creamy, off-whiter head. Classic nose, some leaves, dried berries and lightly toasted grains. Light sweet flavor with simple bready malts, faint caramel, bitter grass and leaves, some dough. Light bodied wiggins carboantion; OK condition. Leafy bitter finish with touches of toasted grains, earthy hops, very skins. So so.
