Description
Castle Brewery, a small batch brewery based in the ancient town of Lostwithiel by the banks of the River Fowey. High tech 'all in one' brewing of traditional ales.

Our philosophy is to brew the tastiest beers with the finest ingredients, sourced locally, where possible. The beers are made using the latest technology enabling consistent brewing on a small scale. This also allows us to brew some less mainstream beers. To make them ‘all inclusive’ they are unfined and naturally hazy, making them suitable for vegetarians/vegans. Recycling and re-using is also important to us, as we are a small microbrewery.

Bottle courtesy of Bob cheers Bob. Consumed at home unusually having a beer or a Monday night but hey it is Loz’s birthday, Monday 14th November 2016 Pours mid amber with a hint of a reddiness, a few stray bubbles but no discernible head to speak of. Tangy, fruity and a little sour, not my thing, to be fair it’s not awful, but life’s too short to drink stuff like this, I don’t think that I can finish this is likely to be a drainpour. Bottle courtesy of and shared by Bob (cheers Bob), consumed in a field at Fairports Annual Reunion Festival, Cropredy Friday 12th August 2016 Another beer that was difficult to determine the colour of owing to the green drink vessel that I am using, however it looks brown in colour. This is surprisingly thin in the mouth with just a light fruitiness, Craig thinks that this has a slight infection, he may well be right but if so I am not getting much. It’s ok but there is very little to report on, it doesn’t taste is 7% A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov10 2.8

Bottle from Good Life, Polperro. Dark ruby with a very thin head. It has an acute berry-fruit sweetness which does go a long way in masking its strength.
