Cask, brewery tour Loose Cannon, Abingdon, Oxon 12.06.12 Brewed as a Jubilee special this may well be my favourite of the evening. It is very much in the mould of a traditional bitter and I suppose that is only fitting as tradition is sort of what this beer is about. Pours chestnut with a little bubbling across the surface, quite a reasonably bitter bite from the off, with a good dry twang and nice fruitiness carrying things through. Its not a complicated or particularly hoppy bitter and it may be too traditional for some, but the bittersweetness working well for me and I like this. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Bottle whilst on the brewery tour at Loose Cannon, Abingdon, Oxon 12.06.12 Pours a nice clear gold with a little bubbling of white head going on. Nice light prickly bitterness actually its is more carbonation prickliness on second thoughts as there isnโ€™t too much bitterness. This moves onto a sweet maltiness which tends to dominate, it really needs a greater tang and fruity bite, lacking a little hoppy blast, its ok but far from the best of these beers tonight. Cask, brewery tour Loose Cannon, Abingdon, Oxon 12.06.12 Pours brown with good clarity. Medium sweetness initially on the tongue, a little dark fruits, dark sugar and liqourice both in the mouth and also present on the nose with a good blob of caramel. Fin but not offering a huge amount. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2
