500ml bottle from Tuckers Maltings. Orangey-reddish pink colour, white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of fruity strawberry. Taste is apple, strawberry, sweetish, with some tartness, melon, fruity, vanilla. Light bodied, low carbonation, dry tart fruity finish. Quite drinkable.

Big plastic 1litre bottle from Darts Farm. It pours lightly hazy yellow - gold with no head. The nose is earthy, musty, slightly sweaty, farmyard, apple skin, marzipan and apple pie. The taste is dry, slightly tart, some acidity, apple skin, earthy, tart, tannins and some apple cider vinegar with a dry, slightly acidic finish. Medium body and flat. Aroma is nice, but the taste is a touch acidic. Fair.

Golden colour, white head. Aroma of apple, apple skins, brett. Light sweet flavour, apple, light brett, bitter touch. Rather dry. Bitter finish, apple, lingering bitter.

Bottle at Darts Farm, Topsham, Devon. Appearance - golden with no head and steady bubbles. Nose - autumnal, dried leaves and apples going brown. Taste - stewed apples and dry leaves. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - prefer a still cider but this is not bad.

At the Monk’s Retreat, Reading. Deep, shining gold. Still. Oddly smokey character up front, sharp and sweet behind with just a slight residual dryness in the finish. Grew on me. Decent.
