Bottle at Leighton’s. It pours clear amber-brown with a small white head. The nose is soft, juicy, earth, toffee, candied peel and bread. The taste is toasty, wood, straw, toast, nut, orange peel, dried fruits, spice, candy, lemonade and some acidity with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Interesting and pretty enjoyable.

Bottle shared in London. Pours clear amber with a creamy off-white head. The nose has lots of burnt peanut shells, some dry bread. Light to medium sweet flavor with grainy toast, more nuts, dried berries, peanuts, herbs. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced on the finish, some dried fruits, raisins, bread, further nuts. Pretty impressive, really.

Flavour is strange, perfume, tobacco, spicy, tired hops, little spicy. Palate is medium crisp with highish carbonation. Lingering weird berry fruit.

330ml bottle. Barely clear golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally strawy aroma, notes of gooseberry, green, unripe fruit, honeydew melon. Taste is moderately bitter hoppy, minimally strawy, husky, some gooseberry, minimally sweet biscuity malty basis. Nothing to pollute memory with.

Nutty brown color, tiny head. Nutty, woody, chocolate aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Watery for this ABV. Simple chestnutty-chocolate flavor. Kind of dead flavor. Light harsh bitterness.
