Can at home 18/01/2024 2nd Rock City AF today and this one is much better for me, not too sweet this time with nice citrus grapefruit and lemony accents, zesty lemon peel, straw, again decent mouthfeel and body, piney light bitter hoppy close. Tasty and drinkable.

440ml can. Murky, orange golden colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Tropical fruity hoppy and oaty malty aroma, notes of passion fruit, hints of mango. Taste is tropical and slightly citrusy fruity hoppy and slightly bitter alcoholic, rather dry, oaty malty basis, diluted hints of mango, passion fruit, a touch of unripe peach and nectarine, some fruit acidic tartness. Watery texture, dry, almost a tad repellant, metallic palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Quite dry, surprisingly (more than many Double NEIPAs) alcoholic, a bit disintegrated and disharmonious - not really convincing.

Aus der Dose (bbe 31.10.2024) im 2024-04 getrunken. Dieses rötliche Ale kommt deutlich mit einem Himbeer Aroma daher. Am Gaumen hat es eine schöne cremige Konsistenz und die Säure ist fast schon mild.

330ml can. Almost opaque, darkest brown colour with weak, ruby shimmer and slightly late awakening, small to average, creamy, diminishing, minimally lacing, dark beige head. Sweet-ish and minimally spicy, caramel malty aroma, herbal and fruity hoppy overtones, notes of malt lozenge, some cherry, herbs. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, herbal hoppy and slightly fruity, hints of cherry and herbs, some malty spiciness; minimally warming, alcoholic finish with some alcoholic bitterness, relatively well hidden alcohol overall. Viscous, texture, smooth and soft, chewy, slightly cloying palate, fine, soft, creamy texture. A tad monotonous, not much depth - OK.

33cl blik van LIDL. Mistig bleekgele kleur, snel verdwijnende witte kraag. Veel korianderzaad, wat tarwe, banaan, redelijk fris maar erg dun. Lichte body. Niet slecht maar verre van geweldig.
