Can from the Packie. Dark brown with garnet highlights and a frothy off white head that persists. Coffee roast and toffee maltiness with hints of earthy hop to counter. Really nice for a gluten free brew but seems to lack mouthfeel and has an odd flavor I cant nail down.

On tap at Portland Craft, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is fairly grainy, toasted caramel, and bready malt. Flavour is rather sweet and alcoholic, with toasted caramel, bready malt, toasted grains, and some resinous hops. It's not the most complex for a barley wine, but for a gluten-free beer, it's pretty impressive. Sticky, boozy, sweet; lacking body and depth, but it's not too bad really.

4 pack of small 12oz cans. Cloudy gold with orange tint and a large frothy head. Nose is grainy and some coriander. Tastes of coriander, lemon, cloves, millet, orange peel. Light bodied.

Poured from the tap. Clear copper orange with minimal white head. Light bubble gum, feint hint of caramel, and plain soju alcohol taste. Not terrible…

Poured from the tap. Clear copper orange with small white head. Grapefruit hops and then a wash of dry floral herbal notes that really wreck the palate.

Poured from the tap. Hazy blonde with small white head. Lots of grain with tart citrus and just a touch of mango.

Very clear golden and peach coloured body with a bit of a copper glow and a thinnish, pure white head. Aroma of very bitter grapefruit peel, some citrus and pepper notes with a minor scent of skunk and some subtle malts, with some noticeable malts towards the end. Light to Medium-bodied; Very deep and bitter grapefruit rind is noticeable up front that gives it a lot of bitterness and some soft sweetness, but the light hops come through and so do the mellow malts which give this a nice balance. Aftertaste shows some rich grapefruit and bitter hops with a lot of sweetness and some light caramelised sugar notes, but the malt provides a good balance. Overall, this is a very nice and refreshing beer that has a great note of grapefruit and some smooth sugars and malts, but hits the marks nicely. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Bend, Oregon on 29-March-2021 for US$3,49 sampled in my cabin here in Crater Lake, Oregon on 29-March-2021, just two days later with my family while visiting the National Park.

Sample thanks to Danlo: Poured an unclear yellow with a white bubble head. Aroma is funky fruit. Taste is tart fruit, very acidic, mango, light carbonation.
