Description
Chalk Hill Brewery was formed in 1993 by Bill Thomas, Tiny Little and David Blake – a group of friends with a shared interest in sailing, and beer. It now stands as the longest running independent brewery in Norwich!
The brewery was named after the surrounding area which was previously known as Chalk Hill, and is now Rosary Road. The brewery is a custom built 15 barrel plant and brews a selection of permanent and seasonal real ales. The brewery supplies it’s beer to local pubs including The Coach and Horses which is on the same site as the brewery.

Cask at the Coach and Horses Narch, twixt 68016 & 68021, 17/02/17. Clear golden with a well presented off white cap. Nose is on the thin side offering light bread dough, lemon rind, straw. Taste comprises bready malts, hint of melon, straw, faint citric essence, grassy. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Nothing strucurally wrong with this beer but it lacks at the business end and offers little in terms of depth to its flavour.
