On tap. Pours a dark mahogany with moderate head. Aromas and flavors of pine and copper, sugary dark fruit, and bitter citrus. Over rated.

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Clear dark amber with beige head. Aromas of citrus, floral notes, malt, biscuit. Tastes of malt, citrus, bitter notes, candied fruit, biscut and toasty notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Bitter. Like the stout, I don’t get the berries.

Draft pour at Growler Guys, Lake City. Like no other IPA I’ve ever had before. Very much looked forward to this. Caramel copper.pour with a lasting fizz head. Malt forward aroma, though mild. Creamy, with an earthy malt and hop.combo, and way less than hoped.for and expected berry content. Bitter linger. Dusty malt. Odd, and less than amazed on this unique offering. A slight miss.

Bomber from Uptown. 8.75$. Pours a clear reddish color with a medium off-white head. A big fruity and malty nose. The flavor is caramel, light sweet and dusty berries, rich citrus hops dominate, some dank elements. This works really well. Reminds me a lot of Stone’s regular IPA. Funky, fruity. Great IPA.

Bottle. Pours dark lightly hazy reddish amber, large creamy beige head, dissipates rather slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is pine, some citrus, hints of berry but surprisingly muted. Flavor is light plus sweet, medium bitter. Medium body. Interesting.

Not digging this bomber. Lovely brown pour with loads of lace, but the nose seems off, a moderate citric hop presence betraying no trace of berries. Taste starts shockingly sweet, a huge burst of brown sugar malt leading to a saccharine middle, notes of berry not appearing until very late. Ample bitterness assaults the sweetness, and a quinine-like fade covers up all those nice Virginia berries. Not for me, dudes.

22oz bomber pours with a clear mahogany colored body that supports a full semi tight tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up some malts, a malt sweetened fruitiness that’s vaguely citrus, mild spicy hops and a dash of floral. The taste delivers smooth sweet malts and a crystal malt sweetness and bite leading to bitter spicy hops ringed thinly by a citrus hop note. Toward the finish the hops grow to reveal mild floral, pine and slightly woody hoppiness. This is a pretty nice through back offering that has a bit of an Arrogant Bastard Ale feeling to it.

Bottle. Raspberrry, blackberry, caramel malt, and lemon peel aroma. Murky dark brown with moderate head. Moderately sweet berry, caramel malt, and moderately bitter herbal grapefruit peel flavor. Good body. Influence of berries more subdued than I would have though.
