Craft, Islington. Almost clear amber beer, little white head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Light creamy malt that blooms soft. Metallic note in the mid. Minerals. A little semi sweet citrus fruit in the finish. A little off centre and watery but passable.

Craft, Islington. Almost clear amber beer, tiny white head. Palate is minerally crisp and semi dry. Sweet tangerine citrus under pronounced sweet floral flavours that are strongly reminiscent of Parma Violets sweets. Touch of marmalade bitter hop. Minerally finish. Marvellous mad concoction! So Parma Violets!

Keg at CBC - Clerkenwell, London. Pours clear, red-gold with a fine, creamy white cap. Hugely perfumey and herbal nose. Medium sweet flavor, lots more perfume, some berries, light bready malts, ripe citrus. Mesium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, lots of perfume, bitter flowers, herbs. Interesting but I’m not a massive fan. Just too much perfume.

Cask, half pint shared with Finn at Port Street Beer House. Patchy surface on top of an unclear, dark orange coloured body. Perfumed malt-fruity aroma. Orange fruity taste added by banana sweetness and some kind of spices, dough-like. Short ending. Medium bodied. Not that great, a bit disjointed, in fact (Manchester, 27.01.2013).

Tap at Craft Beer Clerkenwell, 08/03/13. Lightly hazed dark amber wth a thin off white head that clears to the edge. Nose is sugars, spice, citrus, pear drops, orange, perfume notes, turkish delight. Tastes of Irn Bru, toffee, cinnamon, orange, perfumed, floral, turkish delight. Medium bodied with light spritzy carbonation befitting the style, some sour notes in the finish. Ok - rather a strange one, not particularly saison like, way to sweet and floral. Wouldn’t bother with it again to be honest unless there wasn’t much else on offer.

Keg at Craft, Clerkenwell. Very hazy deep amber beer, tiny pale tan head. Palate is light and a little crisp, turning softer. Sweetish malt with a little toffee - caramel. Light minerally hop fruit - sweet orange and a trace of tropical fruits. Light floral note. Semi dry finish. A bit sweet but decent enough!

Tap at the Cask, Pimlico - 26/02/13. Hazed dark amber/chestnut brown with an off white head that is in a rush to get away from you. Nose is dank hops, fruit, orange, grapefruit, light brett tones. Taste comprises hops, over ripe orange, light siap, caramel, sugars. Medium bodied, very still and flat - minimal carbonation, a little lifeless in this respect, touch of bitterness in the finish. Ok - a touch above average but not an IPA I’d care to revisit!

Tap (I think - according to note but I seem to remember getting this from the cask side of the bar!) at Craft Islington, 21/02/13. Very dark amber with a thin off white head that clears edgeward. Nose is dark malt, yeast, spice, fruits. Taste comprises dark malts, caramel, toffee, spice, dark fruits, light yeast. Medium bodied with light spritzy carbonation, dryish finish. Ok stuff - shade above average, unlikely to be rushing back to this one mind!

Half pint, cask at Port Street Beer House. Red-brown coloured body, slightly unclear. Fawn-coloured head, good lacing. Blended aroma of wheaty fruits and dark caramel. Malt-spicy-fruity taste that finish off on the sweet side of bittersweet. Well bodied. A good one, however rather strange kind of a dunkelweizen (Manchester, 22.01.2013).

Half pint, hand pulled cask at Port Street Beer House. Nitro cream white head to a clear, copper coloured body. Citrus to the nose. Tropical fruits in flavour with a touch of citrus shells. Dry and smooth bitter ending. Not too thin in the mouth. Good (Manchester, 22.01.2013).
