Bottle. As Double Port. It pours a clear, dark reddish brown body under a dense, finger-thick dark beige head. The aroma is roasted and cellarish, with prunes and dried figs, some alcohol too. Almost vinous. The flavor isn’t equally interesting and complex, but still quite nice. Prunes and dried figs and some alcohol warmth. Full body and a pleasant carbonation, with a little warming touch. Some dms in the finish, where it’s mostly dried fruits showing up. A bit short finish. Pity the flavor isn’t in the same league as the aroma, but it’s a nice one anyway. 140111

75cl bottle @ home. Brown colour with a big off-whitw to beige head. Smells slightly roasty, some coffee, sweetish, malts. Tastes coffee, roasty, chocolate, some liquorice. It’s nice. Medium to full body, a bit heavy on the carbo side.

31/XII/13 - 75cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ home, drank at midnight. I'm gonna count all tonights beer with 2013, ok? - BBE: n/a (2013-1209)
Clear bright red to pink beer, creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of yeast, champagne yeast I guess, some overripe banana. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish start, citrus, pretty yeasty, lemony, sour, lots of banana, yeast. Aftertaste: somewhat bitter, sour touch, more hoppy bitterness, little fruity. Surprisingly unsweet... that's good. But I don't like the yeasty flavours. (No, I did not get the yeast shot of the bottle.)

4 coins at the Belgian Beer Weekend, roughly 800 yen, on tap. A tan head on a dark brown body. Mild malt aroman & a touch of figs. A nice zesty flavor with hints of caramel & lots of carbonation. A nice beer that was refreshing. Not boozy at all, as it warmed up more malts came through. Pretty good.

Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus. Murky pinkish color, medium sized white to off - white head. Lightly fruity aroma. Taste lightly fruity, slightly citrus, a bit weird. Average body and carbonation. Meh.

--- Beer merged from original tick of Double Espresso on 18 May 2018 at 09:43 - Score: 6
