Draught @ the brewery. Pours yellow...greenish. Quite sour, but also powdersugary. Refreshing, but quite thin and not in balance.

Draught @ the brewery. Looks good with its red-brown color and creamy white head. Yeasty, malty aroma. Fresh and hoppy taste. Some chocolate in the aftertaste. Smooth. Nice, altough a bit anonymous.

Tap at the brewpub, Berlin. Labeled as ’Winterbock’. Pours a slightly cloudy, charming amber-red with a fine, white head. Ripe berries, mild toffee and deep malts in the aroma. Very sweet flavor but not cloying, with sweet bread, toffee, ripe fruits, faint leaves. Medium to full bodied with fine but creamy and filling carbonation. Great mouthfeel and balance. Mild warmth on the finish, with more restrained toffee than before, lightly toasted sugars, some plum and jammy fruits. A really delicious and exceptionally well-made beer.

Tap at the brewpub, Berlin. Pours hazy, red-brown with a foamy, cream head. Dark bread, toast, and a bit of cocoa in the nose. Delicious flavor, mild roasted toast, tasty cocoa and dark chocolate, some burnt wood and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Clean and balanced finish, with rich toast, burnt caramel, mild leaves and earth, dry cocoa. Very impressive beer. Yes, I’m quite impressed.
