At Ghent Beer Society's Beer Quiz; shared with Anke & Pieter!
Cloudy black with a lasting, foamy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, licorice, dark fruits, hops & dark chocolate. It tastes light caramel-like sweet and medium hoppy bitter; long, roasted finish. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Balanced, 'krachtig' (powerful) but still very drinkable.

Bottle at De la Gare. Hazy amber with beige head. Lots of caramel, toffee, brown sugar, some dried peach and apple, soft grassy herbs. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied. Not bad but not an IIPA.

Bottle at De La Garde, thanks kermis. Pours deep orange with some foam on top, nice lacings. Sweetish a it oxidised nose, ripe tropical druits on top of rather sweet malty body. Taste is also sweetish fruity, orange povidlo somewhat jammy. Bitterness coming out in taste. Medium heavy body, bit sticky but still OK overall.

Had this at Tapperij Het Veulen, Den Bosch, Netherlands, Monday 25th September 2017 on the day that I got repeatedly stung by a wasp grrrr.... Hazy gold with a sticky white head. Aroma is quite muted, suggestion of a little sweetness to follow though. Fine but not an IPA, mild fruity beer, ok. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
