[10/13/13] Draught at Arend’s Nest in Amsterdam. As Eem Xtreem Bock. Good-looking deep amber color, somewhat reddish, with a stable beige head. Sweet malty aroma with some graininess, caramel, honey notes and a bit of fruitiness. Sweet caramelly malt flavor with light fruitiness, a light nutty hint and a drier finish, a bit bitter, a bit spicy with light roasty note. Medium-bodied.

[10/11/13] Draught at Arend’s Nest in Amsterdam. As Eem Lambic en IPA. Hazy deep golden. Great funky aroma with barnyard, manure, a bit of farty character and some lemony notes. Sour flavor, oaky, lemony and funky with a slightly astringent finish with a bit of bitterness. Medium-bodied. Lovely (can’t feel too much IPA though).

Tap @ Utrecht, sold as Eem Rookbok (but usually they have no clue), medium sample. Hazy copper color, short head. Aroma of caramel and biscuit, slight fruity hop, bit pine. Decent bitter taste. Tastes quite hoppy and bitter after two other bocks. Pretty tasty and refreshing.

Unusual combination, but it works out fine. Strong body of sour and grassy lambiek, the aftertaste has some fruity hops from the IPA. Very nice.
