Brouwerij Eembier is op 18 mei 2006 opgericht. Sinds 2006 brouwt Eembier al haar bieren volgens het Reinheitsgebot. Krachtige hoppige bieren zónder toevoegingen zoals kruiden. Onze Eembieren krijgen alle tijd om rustig te rijpen in de lagertanks. En dat proef je terug in onze smaakvolle bieren!

Sinds mei 2018 heeft brouwerij Eembier haar eigen brouwlocatie,
gelegen naast de haven in het pittoreske vestingstadje Elburg. In 2023 trekt Stadsbrouwerij Vos in het pand, en is Eembier weer een brouwerijhuurder, bij Huttenkloas.

On tap at ’t Arendsnest. Hazy golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of bready malts, peppery hops, bit of spice. Flavour is caramel, malts, spice, pepper, good drying hoppy bitter finish. Medium bodied, prickly mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

On tap at ’t Arendsnest. Clear reddish brown colour, creamy off white head. Aroma of caramel, malts, cocoa. Flavour is light sweet, malty, cocoa/chocolate, light spicy, caramel, light roasted malts. Light bittersweet finish, soft mouthfeel, medium bodied. Very nice.

Bottle 33cl. @ home.Clear with many small size body particles, medium to dark orange amber color with a large to huge, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, flowers - grass - meadow / field-like, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, and a peppery spicy and dry finish. Not total balance but okay. Body is medium, texture is oily - sticky, carbonation is soft. [20090629]

Draught, de Wildeman, Amsterdam. Hazy gold with a good looking white head. Slightly hoppy aroma with vague citrus notes. Candyish sweet flavour with some fruit and malt in there with gentle hoppage. Pretty smooth and pleasant mouthfeel. Not outstanding, but not too shabby either.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Hazy golden orange colour, thin white head. Aroma is light sweet, malty, fruity, some yeast. Flavour is light sweet, fruity, malty, with a nice bitterness to it. Dry yeasty finish, medium bodied. Nice beer.

Bottle 33cl.Light light unclear light to medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, spelt, toffee notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20081129]

On tap at WBF ’09 Gouda. Hazy dark amber colour, off-white head. Malty sweet aroma with notes of caramel. Flavour is malty sweet, caramel, syrup. Slightly bitter finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a diminished white head. Dry spelt malty aroma. Dry and light herbal in the flavour. Vague bitterness and light acidic note. Dry grainy finish.

Bottle, 6.8%. OK malty aroma, hint of Belgian yeast, brown sugar, slightly spicy. Amber colour, many small floaties. The flavour is sweet and nicely spicy with a little fat Belgian yeast. Medium bitterness.

33 cL bottle. Pours golden orange with a huge white head. Dry yeasty and caramel malty aroma with a mild spice note. Sweet malty with a light caramel note and fruity yeasty presence. Smooth and mellow with a with a light phenolic dryness. Vague bitterness into the far finish.
