Cask @ First In Last Out, Hastings. Golden with little head to it, just a few bubbles. Has both a soapy aroma and taste with some fruit evident.

Cask @ First In Last Out, Hastings. Medium bodied, black with a small frothy head. Has a burnt marshmallow aroma.

Cask at the FILO, Hastings. Pitch black with a chestnut glow and a dense tan head; aroma of sweet milk chocolate and coffee; smooth abd dry with lots of rich, earthy, chocolate malts and a touch of espresso coffee; then a dry fruity finish with a lingering touch of licorice. An excellent porter.

Cask at the FILO. Amber gold with a thin white head; aroma of fresh root ginger; thin but pleasant with light fresh root ginger flavour and a touch of lemon grass; the finish is refreshing, lemony, citrus. A good summer refresher.

Cask (handpump) @ Southampton Arms, 139 Highgate Road, London, Greater London England NW5 1LE.Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate malt, chocolate. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark roasted, chocolate, chocolate malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20101203]

Cask at the FILO - ABV 3.8% Golden amber with a loose off-white head; earthy malt aroma; quite thin with a caramel malt flavour and some pleasant English hops to finish. A good ordinary bitter.

Cask at the FILO. Amber with a loose white head; citrus aroma; crisp citrus flavour with grapefruit sweetness; then a sharply bitter finish. Refreshing.

Cask at the FILO, Hastings. Straw with a loose white head, that laced the glass nidely; grainy aroma with a trace of trpoical fruit; full bodied with a straightforward citrus flavour and some sweet grapefruit to finish. Not bad, but not anything like as good as the Churches.
