Description
Our ale house is Derbyshire's first micropub. Originally a butchers shop, we have transformed it into a cosy and friendly place to enjoy a drink and a chat with friends and total strangers. The bar is an old Methodist chapel pulpit andfrom here we serve our own beers brewed 30 yards away plus up to 6 guest ales, most of which are rarely seen in Derbyshire. 3 real ciders and a selection of wine are also available. Very often we have musicians turn up for an impromptu accoustic session.

Cask. Gravity dispense. Barrow Hill jamboree. Clear copper colour. Thin, white head. Nose has biscuity spice. Then an awful, bad breath thing going on. Don’t know what that’s about! Taste is spicy bitter. Some biscuity sweetness. Halitosis beer.
