Lost and Grounded Brewers is a brewery in Bristol, UK, established in July 2016. We are particularly fascinated by the precision of German brewing and the idiosyncratic nature of Belgian beers, and we chose the brewhouse of our dreams that could help us make these wonders of fermentation.

Appearance- dark brown, ruby tinges, a thick beige head. Aroma- hops, caramel, malt, biscuit, toffee. Taste- bitter hops, juicy fruit, brown bread, dark fruit, toffee, rye, full and fluffy mouthfeel.

Bottle at home. Pours deep orange amber, nose is caramel, toffee, floral, soapy, taste is sweet, orange peel, light spice, chewy, nice.

On tap at St John’s Islington. Hazy pale gold lasting white head. Decent stab at a kellerbier. Got the body and the flavour bang on. Lemony. A bit light in the malt without a doubt. But its got the bready thing right just needs a bit more backbone. Otherwise pretty decent go at it.

On tap at Earl of Essex Islington. Clear deep gold colour lasting white head. Lots of lemon and lime on this. Not sure it’s what i would call a Vienna. Decent lager drinkability. Dry finish. Bit over the top with the hops for me. Ok. Some lemon curd. Over carbonated.

6% On tap at Breakwater Taproom Dover. Hazy gold lasting white head. Banana ester herby with beer. Good hops on the end. I liked the banana the carbonation is prickly and good. lasting hoppy flavour and character. really good.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas are grassy hops, light floral, light pale malt. Taste is more of the same. Clean finish.
