Description
Bevog microbrewery is the fruit of inquisitiveness and aspiration towards discovering new beer-drinking experiences; it is the result of enthusiasm, love and zeal. We brew beers with character and soul. Our goal is to transcend the limits of the known and ordinary. We have had enough of a monotonous beer offer and the belittling of beer. Beer can be and is much more than that. Bevog brewery is dedicated primarily to beers of top fermentation, more commonly known as ales. The ales we brew basically originate from England. In the last few decades this highly diverse type of beer has been given greater breadth, a wider range of flavors, has been shifting the boundaries of individual styles and becoming more and more popular around the world. It is gaining popularity not only with beer lovers and beer drinkers, but in general with gourmets, top chefs and people who are always willing to explore new flavours and experiences and who care about what they ingest.
Despite the English roots of ales, we here at Bevog are very creative and do not stick to the established norms. We design our beers in our own way, the way we know is right. We choose a beer style, take it apart, add a broad spectrum of gained knowledge, ideas and views, put it back together and polish it into our own beer, which is not rigidly cemented in the prescribed frames of an individual style. When creating recipes, we strive towards perfection and above all refuse all compromise, which is otherwise sadly in abundance in modern mass production.
All of the above has been confirmed by the received awards and prizes, and above all by the many super pleased drinkers of our beer.
Cheers!

330ml bottle. Pitch black colour with average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malty aroma, a touch of smoke, dark chocolate. Taste is dry, roasty dark malty, notes of dark chocolate, espresso, a cautious touch of smoke; in the finish with a minimally salty liquorice touch. Another good one from Bevog.

Again, an awesome label. Pours with a clear orange color and a very decent white head with great retention. There are some pleasant citrus hops in the aroma, and there was also a very faint medicine smell. The taste was nice. Some sweet citruses at first followed by a quite bitter body, although not unpleasantly bitter. The aftertaste was likewise bitter. A very nice, full and tasty beer. Great job.

I always love to taste beer that comes with an interesting label. Pours with a deep black color and a medium cream colored head that quickly settles to only a lacing around the brim. There is a slight alcohol smell which is followed by roasted malts, although very gentle. The taste is bitter, but not too much, along with a nice roasty taste, although the whole combo is quite mild. It’s very creamy and filling. A very nice try from Bevog.

Pours with a slighty hazy coppery color and about two fingers of a solid head. The aroma of citrusy hops is gentle but very pleasant. The taste starts on the easy side with bitterness kicking in moments later. Although a bit more hoppy than I’m used, it’s still very drinkable and all in all a very nice beer.

Bottle from Brot & Spiele, Graz. Amber clear body, with big, frothy, really stable, white head, that leaves a good lacing. Strong litchi aroma, that I didn’t smell that intense in an IPA before, also grapefruit, orange, honey and some grass. Taste is more citric, with grapefruit, orange, also mango and other tropical fruits, grass, sweet malt backbone. Mouthfeel is medium, with a good carbonation and a moderate bitter and slightly dry finish, with long-lasting, complex fruit notes. Overall crisp, greatly balanced and with a wonderful fruit profile, it reaches the smoothness and complexity of a US west coast IPA and adds a unique character, so it can be called a top class IPA that almost is unrivaled in Austria! It has to be said: This new, only one year old brewery, with know-how originated in Slovenia, is the best that could have happened to the Austrian craft beer scene!

330ml bottle. Pitch black colour with huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, brown (really brown) head. Smoky aroma, hints of ham, smoked eel etc., ashes, subtle sweetness, resinous woody notes. Taste is smoky, dry, roasty dark malty, hints of ashes and very dark chocolate; not full-bodied in the strictest sense, somehow slightly straitened and one-sided. Nevertheless really good stuff.
