33cl Bottle at Lost Property. Hazy orange colour, thick rocky white head. Aroma of peach, mango, tropical fruits, floral malts, vanilla biscuits, light citrus. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, floral, cookies, loads of tropical fruits, nice and hoppy, firm bitter finish. Medium-bodied, slick mouthfeel. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Orange golden colour, white head. Aroma of hops, malts, citrus, honey, light sour touch. Quite bitter hop flavour, fruity, citrus. Quite light body, still full enough, fruity finish, lingering bitterness.

Cask at In De Wildeman. Pours hazy brown with a few tan bubbles. Jenever is really noticeable up front in the aroma, to a lesser extant with malt, caramel and a little fruit. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Light bodied with flat carbonation. Overall the jenever overpowers and is to much for a relatively light beer.

Gravity cask @ In De Wildeman. Brown color, hazy. No head, just some soapy bubbles. Aroma’s: sweet malts, with hints of jenever, some caramel, a little plastic. Flavor is medium sweet and medium bitter, just ever so slightly boozy. Medium bodied. Finishes with a nice bitterness along with hints of juniper & wood.

(Draught at In de Wildeman, Amsterdam, 20 Feb 2013) Reddish amber colour with dense, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of caramel, dried fruit, marmalade candy and black-currant. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, red berries and a vinous finish with hints of cherries in brandy. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. A bit boozy, but quite nice.

Bottle sample at NHBF’13. Hazy dark brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, dark malts, light chocolate, liqourice. Flavour is similar, light yeasty, plums, bittersweet finish. Medium-bodied. Decent.

On tap at NHBF’13. Hazy dark brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of burnt caramel, toast, sweet and citrussy hops, dark fruits, liquorice. Flavour is liquorice, burnt caramel, nice fruity hops, dark fruits, hint of coffee, bitter finish with light citrus. Medium-bodied. Good.
