Description
Welcome to the Falstaff Pub and Brewery
We are a Derby micro-brewery selling our beers throughout Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire and the West Midlands. We have a stable of six regular brews and each month we brew specials that change in style and strength.
The Falstaff pub is a traditional real ale house. We have up to 6 hand-pulls serving real ale, generally our own brews with the occasional guest ale. We serve draught lagers, ciders and Guinness with a selection of spirits, wines and soft drinks available.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham on 28th December 2012. Copper with almost no head and definitely no lace. Pungent, slightly musty aroma. A bitter, leafy, almost disagreeable flavour set in-mouth rather like lime pickle. Lemon and pickles in aftertaste. Flat texture and medium body. Not a favourite.

Season ale named after the frontman for Wizard who ’Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday’. This is a pale golden ale with a fine creamy head. Hopped with a tropical aroma. Has a very thin texture.

Well hopped flavours as expected, also with a little fruit evident, but not as much in its aroma. Has a fair bitterness about it too.

Cask at the Bricklayers Arms BF. Pours clear gold with a bubbly, white head. Toast, faint fruit nose. Has quite a sweet flavor, doughy toast, light leafy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, faint bitterness, some hay and straw, mild sugar. Not bad.

Gravicask at the Bricklayers Arms Derby Beer Fest. It pours golden yellow, with a thin off-white head. The nose is dough, chlorine, pear, sweet red apple and farmyard. The taste is hay, straw, oily, pineapple, pear, sweet red apple, warming alcohol, dough and light spice. Full body, soft carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. Decent.
