Description
Gargoyles brewery was started in a former cowshed in November 2005 by Roger Strudwick. In 2009, it was taken over by Andy Oakes and renamed Isca Ales.

Bottle 500ml.Light unclear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, pale malt, moderate hoppy, fruity. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120807]

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium to dark brown colour with a average to large, frothy, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chlorine, sour plum, sour socks. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate acidic with a average duration, sour. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120805]

500ml bottle. Pours dark gold with a thin head. Aroma is honey and lemon cough medicine. Taste is sweet and acrid to start. Sharp lime finish. Flat as a pancake.

500ml bottle. Pours light gold with a medium head. Aroma is lime, cats piss and a touch of grass. Taste is all citra, lime jelly and cats piss. Not in your face, easy to drink.

Bottle from Darts Farm. Cloudy pale straw yellow, mid-sized white head. Solid malty base, perfect to balance the mighty hop flavours. Resiny, citrusy and with hints of gooseberry.

Bottled@chriso. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, caramelly and some nectary notes. Flavour is being quite similar in a nice balance. Fruity and nectary notes in the aftertaste.
