500ml bottle from Tuckers Maltings. Pours clear golden yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of light sour malt, faint rotten fruit. Taste is more of the same, kind of a sour honey thing going on. Tangy sour finish. Not great.

Wakefield Beer Festival 2015. Dark ruby-red. Dark malty-floral with its nose, it has an easy-drinking texture, some darker malts, but it has a thinnish texture so nothing gets that stated.

bottle from Darts Farm. Deep brown, almost black, with a small brown head, quite fluffy. Dry start, very low sweetness, dark malts, roasty with some coffee, shy but pleasant hoppy flavours in the finish. More dry-stout-like than Black IPA, quite nice nevertheless.

Bottle on holiday in Lyme Regis. Lightly hazy gold beer, good bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is light with very mild carbonation. Light malts. Decent orange and orange pith. Mild floralness. Light finish. Pleasant flavour but it’s a bit flat!

Cask at The Anchor, Birmingham. Poured a clear light to medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a big malt weak hop bitter palate and a short bitter finish. A superb English style bitter. Maybe a few more brewers need to experiment with Chinook in traditional English ales.
