Pours with a deep dark body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up inviting chocolate brownie, fudge, a bit of spicy black licorice and rich dark coffee that has an earthy edge to it. The taste delivers smooth rich deep chocolate and rich oily coffee goodness. Wow. This is smooth, rich and yummy.  Toward the finish chocolate and smooth sweet vanilla come further forward. Holy hell this is good.

Whoa, super good IPA. As their description says as soon as you open the can you can smell the Hops which are very fresh. The Hops are citrus mint a bit of resin and grain. Flavors like nose resin comes out a little bit more. Abrasive at all. Really good drinking beer excellent finished and perfect body.

Pitch black, inky tar. Opaque. Tan head immediately fizzles away.
Rich cocoa, raisin, prune and caramel are pitted against moderate amounts of rich, robust, but not overdone, whiskey notes ranging from spice to light booze. No toasted oak character, which is great. It's extremely aromatic and quite light on the alcohol with no big fudge or other concentrated sugar notes leaping out at you. Coffee adds more fruitiness, matching the roasted barley and playful rye whiskey notes, with a growing, "sweet" milk chocolate-vanilla and darker, baker's chocolate notes. Clean, rich, powerful, but finds some semblance of balance and even elegance, which is hard to do at this high an abv.
Fantastically flavorful with a rich, malty, soft texture that has light syrup elements, but only those that are inevitable at this level and nothing cloying/overly fudgey. Dark chocolate, caramel, toffee, prune and good amounts of dry vanilla, cacao and coffee all achieve a pretty nice balance. Alcohol is not hot or messy and further contributes to dryness, though the beer is already nicely attenuated to begin with. The barrel-aging stands out here, providing complexity and balance, without any dominance or astringency. Full-bodied, rich and quite lovely. A major stand-out amongst a sea of BA Imperial Stouts at the fest and one of my favorite beers of the fest. Not a lot of these Monster BA Imperial Stouts get it right, but when they do, they are decadently highly enjoyable.

Notes of dark caramel and maple fudge, deeply malty, chocolate, vanilla, light but earthy coffee-type roast meshing with the grain bill, syrupy, sweet and lightly to moderately bitter with roast into the finish, intense overall, alcohol hidden. Full bodied, viscous, softly carbonated. Big serious business bursting with flavours though walking towards the sweet side of the drinkability line if you wanted to have much of it.

9 3 9 4 18 Bottle shared at home. Black with a ring tan head. Aroma of big pappy, vanilla, light oak, cacoa, milk chocolate and coffee. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with a light medium thick texture and soft carbonation.

Bottle shared at kermis's. Black with little tan head. Big sweet deep roasted chocolate malts. Massive vanilla, toffee, deep and complex roastiness. Strong whiskey, coffee. Big sweet and bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Full body and soft carbonation. Perfect candy.

Bottle shared thanks to kermis. Black with small dark beige head. Vanilla, lots of coffee, sweet bourbon, dark chocolate, toffee, sweet red berries, sweet chocolate dessert, roasted barley, some alcohol. Quite sweet and bitter. Full bodied with light dry finish. Very good.
