25/7/2024. Cask at the 34th Ipswich Beer & Cider Festival. Pours clear golden amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is buttery caramel, malty, zesty, citrus, light tropical fruits. Medium sweetness and bitterness with a slight tart edge. Moderate body, oily, soft carbonation. The buttery side fades and this is well done overall.

Cask at the brewpub. Aroma is low key - dark fruit. Clear chestnut. Foamy translucent white head provides 50% coverage. A sour tang. Dark berries and caramel malts. But too much sourness for me. Medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. An ESB that doesn't deivet for me, just doesn't have the right balance.
