Bottle bought as part of a delivery from Northumbrian Gifts and drunk at home. Deep red, very translucent with a tiny ring of off-white head. Very malty aroma, notes of berry, sweet resin and a tiny bit of pine. Sweet taste, berry-laden with sweet gritty malt. Bitterness in the finish. Watery body with soft to medium carbonation. It’s just about okay.

440ml can - Pours a lightly hazed golden colour with a small frothy near-white head. The aroma is citrusy, biscuity malts with some earthy notes. A moderately sweet taste, biscuity malts, grapefruit and resiny flavours with a hoppy bitterness.
