Keg @ The Drunk Monk, Wrexham. Clear gold. Aroma of commercial flavoured cider. Quite a commercial blend, sugary, artificial, well-carbonated, clearly commissioned. Pass.

500ml bottle. Pours dark, as expected, good deep tan head. Chocolatey notes wafting through, and providing much of the character to taste, some grainy dark malt, subtle roast, nice bitter close. Nicely presented chocolatey porter.

Panda at home, thanks to Graham Grumbo, 21/07/24. Another gushing panda although not as severe as the last one! Amber pour with an off white head that thins to a swirl. Nose is stewed fruits, biscuit, vinous, herb, hedgerow. Taste comprises tangy fruits, perhaps a slight off note, twiggy, light phenolic yeasty tones. Medium bodied, light prickly carbonation, semi drying close. So so ... perhaps a mild infection with this one?
