750ml (thx, Josh!) @ Phill's during Gene's visit. Appearance: hazy copper with a tan head. Aroma: a lot of tannins, grapes, and farmhouse notes. Dry. Taste: along the same. woody, some manure. Overall: complex and quite good.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of dry, musty grape skins, some earthiness, and a touch of bugginess. Flavour has a great mixture of buggy character and musty grape skins, with higher-than-desired alcohol and a wild yeasty, vinous finish. Excellent.

Poured from 750mL bottle (2018 vintage). Hazy red with minimal white head. Oak, mild vinous-y notes juxtaposed with a bit dry and mildew-y character. Above average.

12 oz. can, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Aroma reveals burnt toasted pecans, a hint of maple, a hint of vanilla, and subtle whiskey barrels -- seems a bit muddled. Flavour is surprisingly attenuated out, with gentle pecans, light vanilla, alcohol, and a hint of maple syrup. Has a nice buttery pecan note, with a light whiskey barrel character. Very nicely put together.

Medium brown colour. No head. On the nose, a bit nutty, light vanilla. There's a hint of caramel, light vanilla, and some nuttiness on the palate. It's strong, but maybe not as complex as I'd prefer. Still good, though.

Slender 12oz can pours with a deep dark colored body that has dark mahogany edges and that supports a wafer short lived thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up brief chocolate before a bowl full of diced chili peppers take over followed by faint bourbon and booze into the end of the draw. The taste delivers similar notes as velvety dark chocolate quickly give way to big bites of freshly diced up chili pepper. I get chili pepper meat flavor, that's working great here, as well as a modest chili pepper burn that leads into a warming sensation into the finish. Yeah. The chili peppers are out front but the chocolate and smooth bourbon notes are still there in the background for all who choose to look for them. Fun sipper.

Slender 12oz can pours with a deep dark slightly murky mahogany colored body that supports a wafer short lived thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up boozy nutty whiskey booze followed by an increasing boozy heat, brown sugar and lingering faint nuttiness. The taste delivers smooth supple brown sugar nuanced rich maltiness flowing into a modest level of nuttiness in the background. To midway the reduced sugars and maltiness provide only a thin glimpse at the smooth whiskey barrel treatment. Toward the finish the substantial ABV leans into the experience creating a warming into the after taste. Nice sipper.

Amber, with a slight haze. No head. Lacto up front, the hibiscus is more noticeable than the tuna fruit, which offends my sense of justice. Still, it's not bad.

Dark brown with a thick head. Toasty and chocolatey aroma. Somewhat yeasty. The smoke is quite mild. It's okay. But I am a smoke whore and need way more of the good stuff here.
