New Bristol Brewery is our attempt to bring people together over great beer. We believe that We have a Love of real ale and Love what we do. We don’t see ourselves as maverick brewers, but we do like to tease the boundaries of traditional brewing.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours “bitter brown” with a small scummy off-white head and good lacing. Malts to the fore in the aroma alongside caramel, herbs and some hoppy hints. In the mouth it is quite bitter, smooth and with a creamy texture. Flavour has malts, hops, dried fruit and toffee, with hints of spice and ginger coming later. Bitterness lasts into the dry finish. This is a decent bitter with a spicy twist.

440ml can from Mitchell Wines Meadowhead - Darkest blood red body, and as it says on the can, "now with pink head". Earthy start, strong dry chocolate throughout, solid vegetal vibe at the end.

Can from Lupe Pintos. Golden body with a light haze and a white head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of steel and lemon. Flavour of straw, steel and a slightly astringent finish. Thin to medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. This is just ok - it’s a bit sharp.
