Half-pint, draught at the Moor Beer Vaults. Shared with Finn. Almost black in the glass, spotty lacing from a fawn-coloured head. Attractive dark malty aromas, chocolate to the fore, semi-dry, fine roasted. Dark malt-driven taste as well, impacts of liquorice, dark caramel, and black chocolate. Oaky. Lingering, rounded, finish with well roasted chocolate malts. Warming all the way back to the hotel, after a great session at the Moor Vaults. (Bermondsey, London 10.02.2023).

Half-pint, draught at the Moor Beer Vaults. Shared with Finn. Filmy layer, pitch black in the glass, dotted spots on the glassware. Inviting aromas of chocolate malts, moments of dark fruit. Well blended taste of dark malts, dark fruits, and rum beneath. Woody. Smooth, long-lived ending, warming down the swallow. Full bodied. Sipper qualities. (Bermondsey, London 10.02.2023).
