On tap at the Magpie. Hazy dark brown beer. Little cream coloured head. Fresh tasting smooth palate, mild carbonation. The promised nuts and chocolate manifest but they are subtle. Orangey hops show up from the mid. Finishes semi dry with minerals. A little fruit underneath and a trace of coffee. Mild bitter linger. Decent beer!

Cask, gravity at The Orchard Inn, Bristol, 27.01.12 Lovely beer, nutty, indulgent and so smooth. Some light woodiness, lightly roasty but just classy. I love this, the colour btw is dark brown with a filmy head. Lazy rating, enjoying this too much. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

04/02/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (cask). Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Freschissima, pulita, elegante e beverina.

Cask, Philarmonic, Liverpool. Chestnut brown looks with minimal head. Earthy malts, dark fruits and nuts in the nose. Similarly malt led, slightly sweet flavour. Hoppage a bit too restrained. Drinkable but ultimately forgettable.

27/04/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (cask). Fresca, elegante, morbida e beverina. Tra le migliori bitter inglesi mai bevute.
