I head this beer was great so picked up a couple A - One finger head, off-white. Beer itself is amber to light brown. S - A nice mix of hops, maltiness and barley. It’s a really nice mix but nothing really stands out. T - Hmm. Some deep dark fruits, mild hops and a really really delicious maltiness. Not chocolate but certainly sweet and ark. I like it but the aftertaste is completely flat and goes away fast. M - Nice amount of carbonation. Easy to drink for sure! O - It’s a decent beer. Not amazing but solid and VERY drinkable!

22oz bottle shared by Doug, thanks
Appearance: Black with a medium sized tan head and good lacing
Aroma: Roasted malts, bourbon, oak and vanilla
Taste: Dark roasted malts, coffee, bourbon, vanilla with some hot alcohols
Very nice and enjoyable. Still has some heat, but smooth. Lot’s of bourbon, but not over done.

22 oz bottle. A pure black color with a medium brown head. A great bourbon and roast nose. A warm dry roasty flavor, dusty, hot bourbon. Sweet, very dry whiskey. Peat. A bit hot but nice.

Courtesy of douglas88 pouring up clear copper to light brown with tan head. The aroma is all coconut, bourbon and a bit of vague spiciness. The taste starts with a mix of soured beer tartness and spicy oak that doesn’t go too well together. It then picks up a modest level of roasted maltiness, sweet coconut and then more smooth bourbon into the finish. The smooth sweetness is then interrupted by more tart and sour beer notes and sort of a rye booze mixing with a red wine tart quality. Interesting and at odds with itself.

Received in trade from mdaschaf, thanks for the opportunity. Pours a solid dark brown bordering on black with a good sized off white head that displays moderate retention and lace. Smells of light chocolate and brown sugar mostly. Has hints of earth and a slight mineral edge to it. Taste is mostly caramel and brown sugar with only a tease of chocolate in it. There’s a hint of oxidation mixed in here with a hint of tart fruitiness and bits of earth and mineral water. Beautiful creamy silky smooth mouthfeel, moderate level of carbonation with a medium body. Decent porter but nothing earth shattering here. Oxidation and tartness seem quite out of place here.

Received in trade from mdaschaf, thanks for the opportunity! Pours a slightly hazy deep golden amber color with a nice frothy off white head that displays great retention and lace. Smells of grapefruit pine and resin mostly. Hints of earth and bread round out the nose quite well. Taste is more grapefruit pine and some apricot with a smidgen of bready malt to back it all up. Finish is quite dry. Medium body and level of carbonation with a sweet resinous mouthfeel. Nice, deceptively easy to drink IPA that I could see myself enjoying often. Nice to try one of the other Delaware breweries as well.
